e89 Coding issue or New Battery + Recommendations

Hi guys,

A little bit of background information, I've had cruise control retrofitted whoop whoop!!! but i lost all my previous coding. I had comfort access, angel eyes on full wack, digital speedo, mirrors folding in on lock and i think that was it.

So cruise control works, digital speedo recorded alongside comfort access and mirrors folding, not sure if he managed to code the angel eyes to full beam. But now when I unlock the car the angel eyes don't light up, I've been through the menu and they're active. I don't know if folding mirrors are part of comfort access but when I lock the car and hold down the lock button before the mirrors would fold in now the angel eyes don't light up on unlock and the mirrors don't fold in.

He said wait till the car sleep overnight and see if the problem is still ongoing if so replace your battery. Now I've got the part number 61 21 7 555 719 is this the correct battery or should I go for the Exide AGM 096 Car Battery or any other recommendations?

Also do i have to get the battery coded into the car as well, I maybe off to Halfords to get the battery tested soon.

So all was working fine until 'he' fitted the cruise control?

Now it's not and 'he' says change the battery?

Does 'he' not think it may be something 'he' has done? Seems a bit too much of a coincidence at first sight?

I thought the same but I've been having a few errors pop up after the cars been sitting there for example i parked the car at birmingham international came back a few days later drove home and whilst driving bing roof sensor error. let it sit and back to normal, again similar sitatuion but then tpms sensor. But its all been fine since I'm not entirely sure what my next steps are, to be honest, what do you guys think I should do.

Ok, that extra info helps. Just thought it seemed odd in isolation.

My comfort lights stopped coming on on my car when unlocking it and couldn't work out why. I knew that if the light switch was turned to off then they wouldn't come on, it would need to be turned to auto for them to work but they had stopped coming on even in auto. I finally found out it was the battery not holding a full charge so the car was stopping the lights from coming on to save the battery power. I put a new Bosch agm 80ah battery on it and all back to normal, old battery was 10years old.

Oh and yes the car needs to be told it has a new Battery.
