A man of few words, I see. Love it!
Been trying to get the dealer SW set up on a laptop, but am getting frustrated trying to find all the magical right files that will work. Maybe I'll just get a carly...

I used Carly, but wasn't happy with the digital display so coded it out again.
Actually, you just reminded me - that was exactly why I disabled it in the end - the difference between the digital speedo and the cruise control was miles out and just annoyed me.BadgerDog said:enzed4 said:BadgerDog said:A man of few words, I see. Love it!

Yeah, I enabled all digital speed options, and frankly its more annoying than ever. NOW the speed I see on the newly enabled digital readout is correct. Within 1mph of GPS speed. AWESOME! BUT... The freaking gauge is STILL not right. Its closer than it was before (about 3mph off rather than 5ish), but it doesnt match what I see on the digital readout. The speed I see when setting cruise control seems to be closer to the speed that WOULD have read out before applying corrections as well. Very frustrating. The car clearly knows correctly what speed its going.. JUST SHOW ME THAT D***IT!
BMW... sigh.

I understand completely, tickets are an issue of course but you could get a GPS traffic cam to defend yourself against allegation. Sometimes you just need to let things go bud. I always use my cruise in increments of 2 mph, even numbers only! So we all have our ‘things’BadgerDog said:[ref]mcbutler[/ref], I get you're just poking fun and I'm not upset, but is it REALLY OCD to not want every speed on the car to read something different? Particularly when a few miles per hour might make the difference between getting an expensive ticket (I'm in CA) or not? And ESPECIALLY when its a bloody BMW, supposedly renowned for attention to detail, and its such a stupid simple thing to get right?
But yeah I probably am also a little OCD. ;-) I'm also an electrical and software engineer and stuff like this pisses me off more than it should when there's no excuse for it NOT to be right.
