E89 Coding Options

Me again...

Looking into a few things which I'd like to enable, if possible, with coding:
Roof down in motion
Digital speedo
Auto folding mirrors lock/unlock
Plus any other cool bits!

I do miss the auto speedo I had enabled on my last M3.
If anyone in the South East has the tech and know how, I'd appreciate the info or help and a few beers could come your way :cheers:

Do these codes/coding require specialised hardware and software, and best let real pros handle it? (I can put the top up and down while in motion on my car.)

You need Carly or similar to code the car, no need to go to a garage. The roof can be coded to operate at higher speed

Yes I did work that one out

If its the same as mine; you have to hold the lock button fractionally longer after the car has locked and then they fold.

I can lock and not fold just by short pressing. Lock and fold by long pressing.

They can be programmed to fold when locking, I think there are 3 options for the length of time the fob is held down or to fold with single short press when locking

Hi Chippie, programmed by what? A setting in iDrive or an external "programmer" such as Carly?

Yup ..one short press to lock doors one long press to lock doors and close mirrors..simple..

Folding mirrors can be programmed via carly...but the option appears in 2 different sections, both have to be ticked.

Ah that's upsetting, tried a few times to get it to work but had no luck and found the 2 different modules to code. I was just using the key as normal with a "short"/normal click.
