I now park a foot from the kerb or find a drop kerb... I look quite cool until I Eskimo roll out of the door lol..
McDonald can also be a challenge at the drive through.

Anyone else managed to find a better way... Lol

Even worse on European road trips - many a time the g/f hasn't been able to reach the machine so swung the door open to reach #Bang!

Yes the minion works but I still have to get out... I find getting out after dark away from the lights seam to work

Tickets are an easy fix just by a litter picker from b&q lol.
And alas swivelling the bum is fine for a little lady but its the stepping up onto the kerb lol that sometimes throws me back into the car as well

First thing to note is my roof is nearly always down when I get in to the car & my seat is as far back as it will go. I just step into the foot well grab the top of the wind screed and lower down into the seat.

Getting out, it's feet out first, then wedge my elbows against the windscreen pillar and the door pillar and push my self out. Possibly not very elegant but real easy.

Nothing like getting in and in & out of our Clio 1.2 or 323F Sport. Part of the occasion of driving the Z me thinks.

No-one else leapfrogs into their seat over the roll hoop, then?

My ex did this once, I flipped out. There's just no need, you look out the window when your opening the door, windows are transparent for a reason, and they also go down for a reason

Just tried it but had difficulty breathing when sat in the seat, with my feet on the dashboard and the steering wheel behind my knees

My girlfriend did this too, only it was in my old TT. On the boat on the way home from Scotland, opens the door after boarding the boat then BANG, she smacked the door straight in to the massive metal beam running beside the car. It was a massive beam, I genuinely didn't think anyone could not notice it. I was wrong apparently. Had to try so hard not to go absolutely spare :headbang: .

You must be doing it wrong!

Squat, thrust, spring, tuck, extend. Calmly start engine.
