Yep
Front wings and front nose panel just below the bonnet were particularly rust prone - rear wings too actually. I went through a lot of filler and cans of primer and top coat.

Back in 1967 my brother had a Frog Eyed Sprite.
He used to give me a lift to school every morning.
Not that he was doing me any favours. He never has.
But he would back the car up the (slightly inclined) driveway,
And I would have to push him and the car until the motor 'caught'
So I guess you might say I was the starting motor !

As a Student in Sheffield in the 90s my Housemate had a Metallic Bronze Nova Saloon which required a push start - two of us would push it down the Hill in Broomhall and then with the passenger door open jump in - as it was a 3 door door it took a level of dexterity to push - jump in the rear seat and close the front seat to allow 3rd man to get positioned in the front passenger seat.

I think if we'd found a good brakeman - Britains chances in the 4 man bob would have been drastically increased.
