Checked all the bits of legislation I can find and looks like nothing illegal in kissing cars - then I checked the Mental Health Act..........watch out for men in white coats! :rofl:

I like driving it more than I like cleaning it. I like to look at others as they drive past to get a sense of what it looks like in motion.
But................. at the end of the day, its a car to me

PS. Do we have any engineers/designers on the forum? Here is a million dollar idea, a car that has parking sensors around the entire car, sides, front, rear, that help you park but when you lock it they stay on, anything that comes within 12 inches of the car (people, other car doors, yobs - not the same as people of course) the lights flash and a speaker says 'don't touch my car *sshole'. You could even have a self record mode, you could have 'please refrain from touching my car, please' or just 'don't even think about it!' depending on your own personality. Do you think it's a good idea?

Its been done I think, there called perimetric alarms but the alert sound is customisable
 
I sometimes look back after parking, almost impulsively you could say. And yes i have been known to occasionally talk to it too but i am also firmly in the "prefer to drive it than stare at it" camp. My M is generally pretty dirty as i'm too bored to wash it but it still gets thrashed almost every day! :driving:
 
Yes i do it too! At least twice :lol: I think i do it just to see how beautiful it is, and then think that it's mine :)

I also randomly look at it out of the window. And the day i got it back after my accident i hugged it :lol: :oops:
 
Yep, I'm guilty of the 'look back' when I park it up. Also,twice a day when I take my dog for a walk I look back at my Z on the drive and secretly admire it. If that makes me a complete saddo, then so be it. :D :D

Yes I always look back at it at least once and in shop windows when no one is looking at me as it looks even better with the top down :oops:

ahhhh that would be a big yes. :thumbsup: Cant help it when i walk away from it and i have to turn back and smile a little. Still cant believe i actually own a BMW Z4 Coupe!!!!!!!!! :driving: :D My other half say i am 'sad' :( and that its just a car!!!! :x but then again she is moaning she wants a new Audi A3.
 
Right, so after 4 pages we've decided that we are all (aside a couple) more than happy to look back and admire our pride and joy. That's pretty cool.

So here's the view from my office window today - something of a torture as I'm always ready to drive it. I even have to take letters 1 at a time to the post office and even though only 1/2 mile I can be gone for 30 minutes in the Staffordshire lanes around my village :)

So my next dilemma. Since I can blip the fob and close the roof as I walk away when parking confident that it will close itself to the amazement of passers by should I:

Glance back and admire it and amaze myself as the roof closes and satisfy that OCD craving? (Coupe drivers need not respond)
Stroll away confident that it will be safe and that passers by are amazed, but if they see me looking will be forced to pretend they wern't looking.
Become busier at work this afternoon?
...or the option I've just taken to go post another letter.. :driving:
