I'm looking for someone to reprogram my E86; auto-lock, auto wing mirror drop and anything else of use?

Anyone near Leeds for this? I dont mind a bit of a drive....

Anyone going to the pistonheads sunday service have anything to program my doors to autolock?

Thanks

just loaded SSS v32 on to laptop running window 7 (32 bit)

Have made the follow mods:

Auto lock after moving off

Auto lock if not opened after 2 mins.

Indicators flash on lock and unlock

Altered memory seats to be set on unlocking car

Found in retro fit section that you can deactivate driver or passenger seat belt warning, tried it but need to connect car to charger as you need over 13 volts :D will give it ago another day.

If anyone is doing the rear light facelift conversion you need to code them using NCSexpert, do not use SSS v32 to change any of you light setting ie daylight running or homelight times as this will reset you back lights to "T" effect.

I can do coding in the Leeds area with SSSv32...

Are you using a virtual machine to an INPA cable, or a proper GT1 head?

I've got INPA which I really like but I'd like to try out the SSS but you need to run VMWare to make the INPA head be seen as a GT1, from what I can gather anyway.

Cheers

Dave

got INPA so any north east members needing some help, throw me a message
also if anyone needs advice etc, i should be able to help with that also (it runs fine on windows 7 64bit and easier than XP)

Hi,

This forum is an excellent place to come may I point out before I start... Bought my Z4 two months ago and I've been here often finding out bits and pieces so hats off to everyone.

I'm looking to have a few things programmed on my 2004 Z4 E85 and I'm in the Milton Keynes area.

- Indicator flash on lock/unlock (+audible sound if possible)
- Increase the sensitivity of auto wipers and headlights
- Anything else which may be of use (maybe being a bit greedy now).

I've seen the cables on ebay but in all fairness not sure what all this SSS, Inpa etc. mean so any help there would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Kish

did you do the following:

1. the tail lights and break light is on
well, to prevent the "t" effect, you just have to code your light control module - in german the code is:
BREMSLICHT_ALS_STANDLICHT
nicht_aktiv

this means the breaklight should not longer work as your side markers and then they are off. everything works as intended (break, tail light..)

2. flickering of taillight / 6V issue
well, you took the power of the light of your plate sign - you can also program your light control module as follows:

PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_RE_HI
wert_01

PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_LI_HI
wert_01

Major thanks to bs0u0118 for doing my car this weekend! - I will be making a donation and buying stickers very shortly :D

even is I change the pins do I need to apply those codes??
BREMSLICHT_ALS_STANDLICHT
PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_RE_HI
PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_LI_HI

Yes
You need to apply codes otherwise you will haves "T" effect in lights and lights will flicker due to 6v supply. You also need to apply other codes to stop having bulb out light on dash as car cannot isn't programmed with LED lights.

BREMSLICHT_ALS_STANDLICHT nicht_aktiv Brake light as parking light
PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_RE_HI wert_01 Pulse-width modulation (PWM) - parking lights - rear right
PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_LI_HI wert_01 Pulse-width modulation (PWM) - parking lights - rear left
