I would not buy as car that had been sprayed...even if i know why...it will cause doubt in the buyers minds when you come to sell it..

Unless - you get a bargain and plan to keep it for a number of years..

You check all your cars with a paint meter before buying then?
Naa..I just know what I'm looking for - resprayed cars always leave a sign..

What's a paint meter?

You could have a respray for dozens of reasons, from stone chips to a light scrape. I understand walking away from a car due to maintenance concerns, but walking due to paint issues on a HPI clear car, especially on such a rare find as a solid Z4MC is ludicrous. I'd rather an owner attempts to keep paintwork is top order than sell a shabby looking car.

What's a Z4MC anyway?

If a bumper Or panel is re sprayed off the car, what signs would you see other than maybe a mark round a bolt?

Ask 100 members of here and I'd wager 99 of them would rather a car which has had money spent on it when needed i.e properly resprayed.....rather than an original paint/rashed up original bumper.

Anyone had their wheels refurbished? same difference to me. Mine were not in the best of nick but look perfect now.

Panels are there to be repaired, BUMPERS ARE FOR BUMPING

Totally agree 100%, I have had my bumpers resprayed due to stone chips and you can't tell at all

You can't win sometimes. I worked for a Porsche dealer some time back, you'd always get people phoning up. It'd go like this:

"Is the paintwork original?"

"No sir, the car is 20 years old with 75,000 miles on the clock. It is IMMACULATE, but it has been resprayed recently by a top-notch place."

"But I want one with original paint"

"Okay, there's one with 10,000 miles on the clock at triple the price"

"But I don't want to pay that much"

"Okay, there's also one which is in need of a respray that is cheap but has the original paint"

"But I want it it be in excellent condition"

"We have on that has just had a £10,000 respray, the paint is better quality than the factory finish..."

"Oh, tell me more about that one..."
