Quite apt emoji me thinksThere are reports of Amazon before January are going to offer customers who have Visa credit cards attached to their account, £10 vouchers to switch them to another card. My wife and I have two Amazon accounts each and all now have a Visa credit card which we rarely if ever use attached.sars said:Didn’t the Government drop some kind of competition rules for petrol retailers/distributors at the height of the shortages and has this affected pricing?
On another note did anyone else get an email from Amazon stating that from January 22nd they would stop accepting visa credit payments due to the increased transaction charges. One of the things we used to take for granted, transaction fees are regulated and controlled by the EU, our Government decided not to and so now business, especially smaller ones, find their costs have increased and Amazon have decided to say no. I for one don’t really like using Amazon, but for once, I applaud there action.

Holy cost Batman!!! Using the price you pay over there it would cost me close to $90 US Dollars to fill up there. Guess even with the current prices here we got it good vs your cost. As for Amazon have not received any news of it over here yet. But just a guess could be they are forcing out other Credit companies to get people to use their card. This way they can make more $ on interest charged.
Sounds like a planIan J said:Nanu said:There are reports of Amazon before January are going to offer customers who have Visa credit cards attached to their account, £10 vouchers to switch them to another card.
We all got the same email and as the card that I use for all my Amazon purchases was a Visa card I had to find another so took out Amazon's own Mastercard and got £40 added to my Amazon account.
The credit limit was a derisory £1,200 but as I only intend to use it for Amazon purchases that won't cause me a problem
