I paid £1,62 for v power diesel today , feckin rip off !!!! I’d like to say it’s time the govt did something, but I fear it would be wasted . I’ll go tell the wall instead, at least it would stay there and take my rant !

I was over at my sister's last Friday and her local Tesco was selling regular for £1.449 per litre (my local Tesco is £1.469) so I filled up while I was there with Momentum for £1.519 a litre. Momentum premium is usually 7p per litre.

Shame we can't buy it from the States though.

Yes you save 10cents if you paid in paper. A lot of people use cash in CA. Sniff sniff natural herbs.

Here in the good old state of Virginia, a gallon of high octane pump gas in my neighborhood costs $4.19 per gallon or ~ $1.08 per litre. But we only get 93 octane, not the good stuff you guys get in the UK.

93 OCT is about 97RON which is better than our "normal" fuel which is 95RON (90OCT)

Our best fuel is 99RON which is about 95OCT for you guys

I always thought the gas over there was higher octane. Hence why the HP numbers for our cars is usually about 10 HP less than the same car across the pond. E.g., my ‘04 Z 2.5i is spec’ed at 184 HP for the US version vice 190+ HP for the overseas model because you could advance the timing a bit further
