Cost of Pads and discs fitted ?

Looking to get pads and discs replaced as the discs look like they are the originals and look quite rough with lots of corrosion at the edges its the 2.0 - BMW are doing fixed price front pads and discs for £219 -which I thought was pretty fair - rear pads and discs are £308 which seems a bit steep - anyone know why the rears are so much more expensive?
What are people paying on the forum for discs and pad replaced? Anyone know any decent garges in the southport area as tried local bmw specialist and couldnt even be bothered phoning me back
cheers

Are they adding handbrake shoes into that? That plus the extra labour may be the extra cost?

Cheers jl-c Didn't realise there was a separate handbrake system- will check with the dealer what it includes

Try the Zed Shed not far from you, find them on Facebook or search google.

Great reviews and I wish I was closer to have some work done on my Z4 bit far to pop in from Rugby :)

I got mine done last year 80 quid for all 4 pads/discs and shoes done, but even mates garage said usually it would be more then twice that. He didnt want his staff sat about doing nowt lol. Think it took them just over 2hours

It's also a pretty easy DIY if you're that way inclined? Alternatively, I'd source parts myself and then get an indie to fit. That way you're just paying for labour and not any mark up for the material costs.

Exactly what i did, as I wasnt using OEM parts, If I wasnt doing brake shoes i`d have done pads and discs myself. Local indie quoted £175.
