I'm looking for a quick answer on this if possible as I need to get the car fixed prior to going to France the week after next.
The clutch mechanism on my Z4MC has become very noisy and feels like the linkage is very slack. You can hear it when the clutch is disengaged from high revs, particularly in first and second but through the rest of the gears as well. The movement can also be felt through the clutch pedal. The change between first and second has also become much more notchy than usual.
I had it in at BMW last week for this and other issues that I want resolved prior to the 3 year warranty expiring. Their solution to my clutch problem was, according to the ill informed receptionist, to lubricate it which quite obviously has had no effect whatsoever. I've been working away from home this week so I haven't had the opportunity to take it back to them but it will be going back in next week. To save any more nonsense from them and as time is limited, can anyone tell me if they have had the same problem and how it was rectified?
thanks
David
