Clear light and Angel Eye Conversion - The Project and Story

What was your initial thought? Clear or Smoked?

I initially wanted clear, but not with the £200 price tag for clear hockey's. and looking at Marius', I'd decided on smoked. I have a set of silver and black inners so I guess I can do both and 2 sets of hockey sticks too...

Marius' look great with the black inners and smoked  if your worried about how expensive the clear hockeys are Drop Marius a PM about some clear hockey sticks... Cheaper than OEM!

BALLS!!!
Early start for me tomorrow to re open and sort it out!!

By the looks of it I'd forgot to put silicone to seal :headbang: dab glued then siliconed the rest...
Lesson learnt!

Don't forget to clean the inside Luke ;)
Seriously though, you will find it dead easy to open the headlights now you've done it once. And if Marius' "curse of the LED Angel Eyes" comes true, we'll all be replacing with CCFL rings soon anyways :D

Haha! I think even Marius was impressed with how bright they were! Think this is just me being dopey as opposed to the 'LED curse'! Hope so anyways!!

Yea it shouldn't be too bad to do, Considering how long it took to open them initially! I am aiming to have the whole job done from start to finish in 60 - 90 mins!

Hi guys I need a bit of advice -

I have finished my latest set of clear / angel headlights so currently going about swapping over the HID kit

On my current set the dipped beam wires are yellow and brown, which then connect to the HID red and black (as shown in the first image)

However my new set of headlight wires are brown and black for the dipped beam, so I am somewhat unsure on which connects to the red and black on the HID

Old headlight (dipped bream)

I'd of thought red to brown on the new set up, but then confused why it would be on the different side of the unit too?!

Also would have thought red <=> brown. Have you got a multimeter (or access to one) to check?

Attacked it again this morning... I HATE GETTING OFF SILICONE!!!!!

 good job there.

Removing the silicone is so much easier than cutting through them. How long did it take you?
