CD changer connectors access roadster

Any idiot guides on how to access the CD changer from the boot, I tried some time ago and gave up as the through hatch release cord stopped me in my tracks.
I'm trying to access it to potentially fit these so I can stream music from my phone.

I fitted a blue music adapter and did it by simply peeling up the trim inside the boot that’s covering the bulkhead. Pull it up far enough and it all just there and easy to get to.

I’ve tried that, however the pull cord for the storage cubbyhole between the seats prevents me from getting the carpet high enough to gain access to the necessary cables.
