CD Changer wiring/connectors

Hello all,

Recently purchased a Bluemusic Bluetooth Adapter.

I know these can sometimes be stuck behind panels/under the central storage compartment but I genuinely can't see any other wiring going from the harness. I can also see one of the connectors, which fits in fine but not the large one, I stead it's a smaller female aux looking connection? I can't find the large one at all?

Is there any chance that this car does not have it? It's a 53-plate.

There are analog and digital implementations of the DSP and CD interface, with different connectors. The round coaxial cable is part of the digital interface, and runs to the amp. Not familiar with the bluemusic modules, but in those ipod/iphone interfaces I have had, a DA converter was needed and there were separate products for those with analog and digital DSP, respectively.
 
Thank you very much for explaining this. Certainly handier than taking the car apart trying to find a cable that doesn't exist. I will search for another solution!
 
Do you have the DSP system? If so you can use the bluemusic device, you just need an extra unit.
 
I'm actually not sure? I can't see an extra amplifier in the car, if my (lack of) knowledge is correct that upgraded sound system would have a visible amplifier somewhere?
 
I think the easiest way to see if you have the DSP is if you can edit DSP settings on your dash/screen? (I don't have the system myself)

Look for the amp in the boot behind the battery.

I don't think they all do that - I have the 10 speaker DSP system but the base headunit and I don't think it works any differently on the headunit end.
 
Thanks for everyone's replies! I do indeed see an amplifier, but it's in a plastic wrapper...

I have seen this adapter, which I think should do the job, many adapters seem to be expensive! I will be waiting to resolve a new issue...I think my rocker cover gasket is leaking! Fun...

Again many thanks for everyone's help. I will persevere and get this sorted after I fix my leaky car!

There was a live and ground in the immediate vicinity I tapped into - might even have been the other cable the CD changer used.
