Both my brothers have been new car salesmen, one is now a general manager of a volvo dealership and the other moved on to another industry.
Really does depend on the group, dealership, managers and the sales staff. My brother's dealership has a 96% customer satisfaction score (highest in the group). The lowest scoring Volvo site in the group has a 26% satisfaction score.
People also seem to think there is a sizeable margin in new cars. There isn't.
If anyone wants to buy a new volvo then my brother can probably get them a favourable deal; PM me.

A bit more to selling than that! Unfortunately this type of mass shipem in - shipem out attracts standard kit of uninterested Burton suit and fat tie with Base slip ons - car salesman/estate agent/recruiter. Its when you step away from the waste of the general public scum it becomes an interesting career.
