Car Porn!

Bing, will disclose what happened once the claim is completely resolved.

I agree with the airbag programming.

In terms of looking for a new car it all depends how much the insurance company kindly wish to offer me and then insurance costs etc. There is a nice 3.0si auto for sale quite locally bmw auc but I have no idea how much that would cost from an insurance point of view at this point nor the amount of money I will be offered in settlement.

Once those variables are known I can start to get a grasp of what is and isnt affordable.

In unrelated news I commuted to birmingham today via train instead of car. Took four hours instead of two, but was much more of a relaxing commute.

Popped to the dealership today to look at a replacement for the 2.0i.

Will be picking it up next Friday :)

Thanks to Ruby for being a taxi :)

Ouch! Sore one. Let's hope it's all sorted soon. Did you have protected no claims? I do hope so or it's back to nil or maybe just 1 year if your insurance company are nice. None the less it's going to effect your insurance costs for a little bit. Cost me an extra £125 a year with my Dad after he had a non fault accident as someone ran up the back if him. Cost £5k to fix which for a £50k car was reasonable but this made all the difference and he and I were still penalised for it not being his fault.

Supposedly once you've had an accident your more likely to have another one?

I've been in that boat for the last few years - I would put a claim in for uninsured losses if it happens again. I don't see how you can be statistically more likely to have another one?

I reckon they work on a "Heads I win /Tails you loose" basis!
