My i20N is an insurance group 27 and when I renewed it through Adrian Flux in March they wanted 650 quid. Managed to brow beat them down to 575.
Received the renewal on the 140i today insurance group 37 so 10 groupings higher, again with Adrian Flux and the renewal is for 617 quid :?
Both cars used the same for social and domestic and kept at same address so why is the 140i initially cheaper to insure. Doesn't make sense to me. One is 204bhp the other is 335bhp.
I do know that parts for the i20N are in short supply, was told 6 month wait for a windscreen alone :| so maybe why insurance might be higher. Just seems premiums are plucked out of the air with no real logic to how they are calculated.
Tim.
