I went for the one without engraving, does it feel different with the engraving in your hand?
Not really. And you're limited to the gearbox of your vehicle (see: 'inkey$ sells his 6speed V1 in titanium to forum member' :headbang: )

Blimey, i'd forgotten the days when cars had just 5 forward gears! :D
It's amazing how you need to get your head around it actually. Lots of gearbox stirring!

Feck - if I'd been thinking laterally (or even paying attention) I could have swapped with you. Quite fancy an engraved one... If only to remind me what gear I am in now my car won't tell me on the dash

Storm V1 brushed with 5 speed and ///M logo engraving, fitted. Also shown with 'warm hat'

And now someone else can be Inkey$ thanks to Munich Legends: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/z3m-coupe/bmw-z3-m-coupe/2246113?isexperiment=true

Can't wait to see this car in the metal on Sunday - she wasn't home when I visited yesterday :(

6k higher mileage than mine but two years younger. Very nice price for a ML car.

I quite like the colour too :)
Go for it Disca. Am sure you'd get a good trade in price. Join me in baking ///M bread

Aha I could never afford to run it, or buy it. I was simply putting the link there as PistonHeads advertised it :D

I am happy in the 3.0si for the moment!

Build update: Car currently in with ///M indy for long list of work.

- Replacing passenger door actuator
- Installation of H&R ARBs (set to soft) and polybushes
- Installation of new Meyer HD droplinks
- New throttle cable
- New headlight bulbs (Osram Night Breakers)
- Replace jacking point
- Inspection II service
- Investigate oil leak
- Check state of car generally including rear boot floor welds and diff hangers

Just had an update and all going well. Apparently the overall state of the car is in "very good condition". No signs of chassis tears, boot weld issues or semi connected diffs (which is a relief!). Oil leak has been traced to the Exhaust Cam Solenoid on the Vanos and I luckily supplied a kit of new oil seals which has solved the issue. Jacking point being fitted to the rear offside but I still have the front two missing so this is a temporary thing. Come late summer I'll get both sills off and fully treat, waxoil and replace the front two rubber mounts also. Only real issue to report so far was when they came to install the H&R ARBs. Apparently the rear clamps were severely rusted so new OEM parts have been ordered.

So far, so good…

I have to stop looking at threads like this :headbang:

Surely your Saxo days are over now and you are ready to return to something a little more grown up?
