:D just managed to take it off and store it - pics to follow . . .
C'mon! It's a 10 min job for two people! :)

 well Lady Marlon has a bad neck :( so this had to be a carefully rehearsed procedure. Its done :) pics to follow . . .

Hardtop removed and successfully stored:

Stand successfully assembled:

Added an extra cushion:

Undid all the fixings and lifted all the connections free so the missus didn't have to work too hard to disengage the fittings.
We lifted and placed hardtop on to stand and then wheeled it down the side of the house and into the garden shed via makeshift ramps:

Safely in:

and tucked away :)
(didn't bother with the storage cover)

So thats that - now I leave it in the shed for 2 years and decide I may as well sell it cos its not being used

Why didn't you put in in its storage fitted bag before you put it on the stand Marlon?

I will do next time - I was just too knackered to be honest, it's 9pm now and I'm falling asleep in my chair, reckon we got about 4 hours sleep last night and I used all my energy concentrating on driving home :driving: (not getting any younger I guess :( )

did you get the cover for the middle lock section?

Yep
I've given the whole roof a good inspection - inside and out, other than some light scuff marks on the spoiler its mint :) Next time its fitted I'm sure I can buff them out.

...or give in to the sideways glances that you sneakily keep giving an E89, hard top, roadster, hard top...all in a neat little bundle from a quick button press, no messing, just think what you could do with your shed again when it's not full of big plastic things that are keeping the spiders housed rent free... :poke:

Hard top looks great, a fab combo.

Had the weather been better we may have explored a little, as it was we just headed straight home - didn't even check out Poole. I believe the New Forrest is lovely.

Only just picked this up. Well done Marlon and welcome to the Hardtop club ! The black on red looks great. Hardtops rock...or as my lad says 'Well cool !'
