Welcome to the exclusive hardtop club lol

You mean the proper z4 coupe club :poke:

Mine only goes on in the winter but I wouldn't have a Z (or any other convertible) without it as an option was something I made sure I checked before I bought my Z that I could get one

I was lucky when I purchased the car last October it came with a hardtop love the look when it's on.

Well done Marlon , going by the other pic it'll look great . I will probably put mine up for sale in a couple of months as it just getting in the way .

I sold mine recently as I had used it for a few weeks when I first got it but then it just sat in the garage for 18 months. Mind you, the E85 is not my DD and I usually declare a SORN over the winter!

Slippery slope Marlon. Slippery slope!

Next you'll be browsing the for sale ads for E86's and getting all beardy and anal about which is best!

Well the rain held off for half an hour - long enough for the roof to dry (although I will open it up when we get home and air it out thoroughly). Swapped the hardtop on and 10 mins later it was pissing it down again! Very lucky.

Had a cuppa and a natter with the seller (lovely fella) who's got a very unique 2.5 Zed with an awesome full racing exhaust and ace 19" wheels
The hardtop is in mint condition, the stand dismantled and fitted in the boot, complete with a full storage cover and the 2 allen keys and 3 covers. Couldn't be happier :D

Some pics (more once I've got home and have faster WiFi):

Looks great Marlon with the black hard top on  are you staying down that way for the weekend or are you
heading straight back up T'north?

Is matey with the other red Z a forum member?

Looks good Marlon  . As others have pointed out, a new set of black wheels will be on the shopping list soon (or get your current ones painted black). A black front rhino lip wouldn't go amiss either, the other guy's one looks the business. And on it goes...
Edit - forgot to mention the most obvious - the silver front kidney grills have got to go now - black's the only way :D

That is going to look awesome on your car,

The swap over takes like seconds to do so don't worry too much about the rain, unless its lashing down.
Remember to take your lock mech covers off before you get there, it saves faffing around.

I remember when i picked up mine it seemed really odd at first, enjoy the drive.

Stuart

Thanks Stuart,
The swap was quite quick - fortunately it stopped raining for half an hour, I've only driven 10mins in it to the hotel but it definitely feels different to drive - can't quite put my finger on it yet :scratchhead: But Im loving the look :D

make such a difference inside the car, so much quieter, you will need some black details on the car like above to tie it all in, but once done it will look ACE... BSM HTs have become Very sought after since everyone started realising black works on pretty much any colour, so if anyones got a mint BSM top... its worth a few bob with all the bits, mines so so so clean i really should sell it but ant part with it... their cant be many left in its condition tbh.

They are rare, the guy who sold it to me was very sad to see it go - he said he almost withdrew if from sale several times. Once we had it on my car he was joking about making a big mistake letting it go. I can understand why you are keeping hold of yours

well done Mr Marlon, almost a member of the coupe club now

Cheers Taz, I've only driven it 10 mins to the hotel - feels strange, in a good way :driving:
I will get a better feel for it travelling the 280 miles back home today.

Thanks enzed4. Well at some point in the next 12 months my MV2's will need a refurb and I will probably go with a dark graphite look. Need to do lots of investigation, possible even a Poll
