Pretty sure they do actually. They were designed for e87/90 chassis and fit the 89 with the original oem bracket that would have come with them when bought from BMW (I still have mine lying around somewhere).

Yes exactly, I was going to add that the discs would not be compatible so it wouldn't make much sense for you to sell to him/he to buy from you.
Dr-Jon probably best get the complete kit from bmw which includes calipers, pads, discs & backing plates for £710ish. It says it's for an e90 but I'm certain it will fit the 89, they don't list it as compatible I believe because the matching rear BMW performance brakes do not fit the rear of an e89.
