I'm going to find a way to "hide" some money, buy all the ammo and cigars I can afford and build a bunker in the back yard. (I'm only half kidding--never thought I'd see a Marxist elected President of the US)
 
Spouse is making plans to obtain more ammo because he says the country is going to hell and to stand by. Not sure what he knows, but he is the one who bought a generator, propane stove, and stocked provisions for the Y2K event. We are a fortress! Glad we got our raises for 2009, but not sure beyond that! I am taking the wait and see attitude. If he is really bad, there is always a recall effort to get him out. He does have a mess to deal with and turn around. :tumbleweed: :? :?
 
With Pelosi and Reid in charge of the legislature, BHO would have to get a BJ from HRC in the oval office while doing a live feed interview for Muhammad Speaks before impeachment would even be whispered.

Did I say that outloud??

But I think your sentiments, so stated, mirror what many of us are thinking.
 
Oh for God's sake people, have a little hope and give the guy a chance. It's impossible for him be any worse than our current "leader". :P

SoCalSizzle, we are looking forward not backward. Let's keep our vision in real perspective. Our country has never had and extreme Liberal elected to the presidency. Transition will be interesting. You may not have liked the Bush administration but I am sure you won't hear that the Executive Offices will be left in frat house shambles like the Clintons left it.
 
I think it is funny that the pundits called BHO a SouthSide Chicago politician. My SouthSide was/is blue collar, his is rather wealthy...very wealthy.

True. However, since a non-American initiated the thread I didn't feel compelled to bring up the complexities of the Electoral College process. Heck, most Americans don't understand it let alone foreigners.
 
My family has been in this country from the beginning. I am related to two presidents and many people who fought and died to bring this country to reality. I have always been in favor of individual freedom without the interference of government; that also includes the freedom to fail. We are heading for socialism on a fast track and that was never intended. The 4th estate can now determine elections with twisted propaganda. If you do not realize it “we have been had”. If you can’t see that, well I feel sorry for you. :(

I am happy, no matter that I do not agree with his politics, to see a black man residing in the white house that other black men (slaves) helped to build originally. :)
