Someone on the Cotswold run had RPI back boxes, sounded like god snoring.

By the look of the condensation/steam coming out of the exhaust on startup, it doesn't look like the car had been warmed up before he sat it on the rev limiter :thumbsdown:Beedub said:RPI - uncorked with free flow cat section!!!

Are there any disadvantages?

That was me !! Yeah super loud !!![]()
That does sound truely awesome & just proves how great these M engines can sound rather than the muted effort you get as standard, only problem is everytime I hear good exhaust notes it makes me miss my TVR that little bit more.Beedub said:RPI - uncorked with free flow cat section!!!

Is it your everyday drive or just for weekends?

It's normally a weekend car but havin been driving everyday for last 2 weeks!
And I found the exhaust noise ok, drones abit on lower revs but if u hit it right
On the rev counter it can be a lot quieter![]()
I agree I think when you are in the car the standard set up is fairly discreet, but I would like to think it sounds good if you were out on a pavement & a Z4M/M3 shot past.JuniorJet said:I could just do with the M exhaust note being just a little louder from the cabin, and perhaps a bit more raspy.
