Ahh quite local to me, might have to get you to detail my car ready for show season :)

Are you keeping it now? What shows you attending?

My local indie garage knows your car...small world.

Yeah keeping it, couldn't help but regret putting it up for sale

So far off the top of my head the shows I plan on are
Unphased16, Cumbria vag, fueled society, fitteduk, ultimate stance.

Which garage is that?

I'll have a look at some of those shows, I'll be attending fitteduk (don't think my car is different enough to warrant showing it though).

Merc specialists in Skipton but the guy who does BMW's comes over from clitheroe

Ah, I haven't a clue who that could be then.

Unphased16 is a localish German car show, I'm part of the unphased bunch of lads, good crowd and the meets down at the boatyard inn every month are always enjoyable. Take a look at www.un-phased.co.uk

Looks good, may come along one time if that's alright?

Spent about 5 hours today completing stage two and halfway though stage3

Yeah sure, the meets are always on a Thursday from about 7, the food and ale is always good down at the boat yard too.

Cleaned mine today for the first time since November, didn't realise howmuch tar had built up on the back, it's never been this bad and that's only since November... Damn roadworks on the m65 and junction 12 must be coating my car

A little better now

The road works by Boundry Mill? I'm sure they finished that but drove to Manchester this week and noticed the 50 zone was back.
Christ that's pulled a lot of dirt off! What did you follow claying up with?

Yeah that's the one, they removed the average speed over Christmas which makes sense when nobody was working, but now they are replacing the metal barriers on the outside edge of the motorway, they are also working on juntion 12 sticking traffic lights up I think. Doing a lot of road changing anyway.

I only Clayed the rear bumper, bootlid and lower part of the sides of the car.
I just rewashed it again using carbon collective shampoo, then dried it off
I have my car sealed with carbon collective oracle so it's really low maintainance tbh.

That stretch of road was bliss without the speed limit.

I liked Lusso, great lubrication properties and cleaning ability, a little of dear side though. Found it very similar to Chemical Guys Mr Pink which is a firm favourite of mine.

I'd be cautious how many times your clay as its be known to remove coatings.

Yeah I don't clay regularly at all, in fact that's the first time I've needed to in over a year, I'll be recoating the car in platinum paint at somepoint anyway.
I only had a small bottle of the lusso from the sample kit, I like the react wheel cleaned they make and the tyre sealant is really good

I was extremely impressed by Sateen, so I now use it. Treated the GF's tyres 3 weeks ago, quick clean while doing the alloys and Sateen is still protecting with a good finish!

Take a look at Gtechniqs new product:
http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/sealants/gtechniq-crystal-serum-light/prod_1635.html

Ive heard and read great things about it. Supposed to be the toughest coating produced for the ultimate protection.

Small update: dropped my 108s off at the refurbers this afternoon. Hyper chrome rim and OEM BBS silver for the star. Also ordered rear Uni-Royal rain sport 3's today.

With a few spares hours yesterday I have completed the three stage correction on my car. 20hour Plus hours later and the results speak for themselves. The car is currently under cover waiting slightly warmer conditions to apply sealant and wax. With a choice of 12.....it'll be tough decision.

Anyway I'll let the photos do the talking

After I'd finished polishing I gave the car a final wipe using Carbon Collective Panel wipe to remove any oils from the polish

Finally treated the roof with a sample bottle of:

So that's it. The Zed has been sealed and waxed using our new show wax called 'Waxipan' (yellow and pink marbled design with a marzipan scent). Almost good enough to eat!!

The wax gives an incredibly deep gloss with amazing flake pop! These are available to buy as a limited edition for £29.99 150ml

Nice little pun on my number plate.

Cheers, a lot of work has gone into it and all that remains are the finishing touches which I'll leave until the weekend as it's going in for its MOT on Friday so I expect it'll come with the odd oil hand print

Looking great, job well done. 20+ hours graft but plenty of months of protection so well worth it. I ordered some of that Sonax this week too so looking forward to getting a free weekend in March and getting the paint back to spotless. only have a little bit of #845 and CG XXX wax left so need to order new sealant and wax soon. Used to use #845 and 888 on top on my previous car and loved it. 888 needing to applied more often but love how it looks on silver.

Gave mine a quick 2B wash and glaze with Black hole and re waxed this week just to give it some love.
