Highly recommend using a flat 1" soft artists brush

Would 250ml do all 4 callipers?

And some. I barely used any maybe 50ml, all 4 had 3/4 coats.

What colour you going for? Painting the hubs too?

what he hasn't mentioned is that he's getting uncle Taz to help him lol

Uncle Taz, I'll do a deal with you.. You paint them and I'll keep supplying the tea

While you've got the wheels off and if your hubs were like mine I'd recommend painting them too (I went for Matt black engine paint), it'll only take taz 5 more minutes or another cuppa

Looks amazing, wish mine looked half as good, mines caked in little stone chips etc on the front so I could never get it looking like that without a respray which I can't be bothered with as doing 16k a year it would soon be chipped again :-s

Was watching Wheeler Dealers this evening after work and noticed a Zed sticking its arse out in front of a S2000

Spent a bit of money tonight, been watching these on eBay for a good week or so and decided to take the plunge and bought a new steering wheel and matching handbrake. Won't fit them until its back from the bodyshop.....don't want them getting grubby while its in the shop.

The postman delivered the steering wheel and handbrake today. Couldn't wait until it came back from the body shop to install them.

First up was the handbrake. Such a easy job and gave me an excuse to clean underneath. Something you'll never see but at least I can sleep at night knowing it's clean under there.

Cleaned the leather on the giaitor and elbow rest then gave it a layer of leather guard.

Had to pop down to Halfrauds to buy a 16MM socket to remove the steering wheel. For some reason the steering wheel and trim has been off before as the clips were broken, hoping I can get away with superglue for now then buy a new set. Lost the light now so will finish it tomorrow.

You can get away with superglue full stop. I also found mine had been removed before when I installed cruise control. I've no idea why though.

I wonder if they will do (or have done) a Z4? Would like to see Ed China tackle a stuffed soft top motor...

If they ever did, Mike would buy a high miler and still get top dollar.

No way would I have paid £7k for that S2000, I'm sure it had 120k on the clock. Those sales figures must be fixed!

New steering wheel fitted after having to change the wiring from mine as they were damaged. Contacted the seller for a partial refund as was planning on selling mine.

Massive improvement over the original one

The Zed has gone in today for its repair, made sure I took full advantage of the weather this morning as it'll probably be one of the last few occasions I can get the roof down this year.

They gave me a 116d Sport in red initially, got it home to inspect it (as you do). With the car on 23k miles I wandered if the rear tyres had been changed......no was the answer. They were pretty much on the legal limit. The dealership didn't seem too pleased that I drove back and asked for a different car after all BMW recommend you change between 3-4mm.

Same sh**y gutless engine but least its pretty much new and has decent tyres ha!
