I’m scratching my head wondering WHY the drivers door window will open and close on one touch of the switch but my drivers one will only open. If I want to close it, I have to keep the switch up :x . Does anyone have an answer?

I don’t know about the E85/86 but on the E89 if the battery has been disconnected for any reason you have to reset the windows. This is how you do it on mine so it may be worth a shot:
1. turn the ignition on (without starting car)
2. put both windows to their fully down position (using both left and right window switches, obviously)
3. press both left and right switches down for 15 seconds
4. straight after the 15 seconds pull and hold both left and right window switches upwards to raise windows to fully closed
5. without releasing the switches, when windows are fully up count another 15 seconds
6. release switches, and reset should be complete.

Hi
Thanks for replying. I’ve not disconnected the battery and it’s working fine. I’ve tried your advice to no avail![]()

Wondermike said:I don’t think it was ever really established. Both were one touch on my 2005 so they had sorted it by that time.
