Having been a cyclist and car driver. The van driver is completely out of order! There is never a need for attacking anyone like that! Cyclist do seem to think the Highway Code applies to them!!

My mistake doesn't apply to them. In Oxford lights are not needed, traffic lights are just for cars and pavements are cycle lanes!!

They have the law on their side I believe.
I think it's the gallows if you skittle one - irrespective of blame.

A group is trying to get this as law in Scotland. There are probably more to lobby against it given the attitude of a lot of the cyclists on city streets.
I believe the UK is one of only 5 in he EU who don't have this law, so if they do implement this does that mean that a cyclist is held responsible if they hit a pedestrian? Even if they walk out in front of them on a red man for example?

I needed 10 pair of eyes last weekend over there.

Fortunately, the short life span of cyclists riding in such a fashion must have rendered your quest to acquire 10 pairs of eyes somewhat shorter than anticipated...out of interest, what did you want them for? :?
So one day I sat down with a traffic officer & 2 hours of commute vide (90 min of cycling & 30 min of car). We found about 40% of cyclists broke a road traffic law on the video & 70% of motorists. :rofl:Angie4m said:I would like to say it's a few that give them a bad name but it's the majority with the minority sticking to the rules.
