Anyone recognise this Z4 driver/boy racer?

Does the 3.2M lack torque?
Compared to a 7 litre V8, then yes.

Compared to an S2000, then no.

I don't have any trouble leaving it in 6th on my motorway runs and only take it into a lower gear when I'm in heavy, slow-moving traffic. If it stays above 50mph then I'll just leave it in 6th and easily maintain my gap to the car in front when the traffic speeds up to the normal 80-85mph cruise.

You can feel the different 'steps' in the power band though when you do this, and I wouldn't try straining the engine by trying to floor it below 1500rpm in 6th.

... He also probably thinks that the way into his female passenger's knickers is via ridiculous driving

This was discussed on EVO forums as well, it was the comedy hands laying on the wheel on the wrong side of 12 o clock and leaning on the traction control that also caused some concern.

In all honesty if I won 107m on the lottery I would set up a school to help kids like this as he is clearly into cars and driving and we need to encourage that or loose the fight within the anti car and anti fun lobby, it is Just that we need to get to these kids and train them before they become a liability to themselves, other road users and amunution for the anti car brigade.
