I sympathise and wouldnt want to be in his shoes with his domestic situation as it is, but surely a decent business is built on good reputation (which he did once have on here) and that in turn brings in more work.

Can't say he's intentionally pulled it's tits off. As they say walk a mile in my shoes. Maybe I'm in the minority in this group but I don't think so. I suspect the presence of heavy hitting mods with an obviously strong opinion will put many off standing up to be counted. Two or three injured parties out of many hundreds of very satisfied ain't bad odds. Maybe we should have a poll? 🙄
 
He seems to have plenty of time to update his Facebook page. As others have said, his silence on here speaks a 1000 words.
 
I don't know much about you Hutch. Because of that I'm not prepared to judge. Does that make me odd or ......? So I ask a genuine question of you. Have you ever had such pressure on you or stresses in your life where you have found yourself literally folding both physically and mentally? Have you ever found yourself with so many of life's stressors where you may possibly be clinically diagnosed as suffering a breakdown? I can tell you if you haven't that a common trait of suffering on this scale is to cherry pick the daily issues that need dealing with and its natural to try to put aside issues which are difficult to face. Maybe, just maybe that's the case here. I'm not going to insult Mike by saying that's his position because I don't know that for sure but I can tell you that I would probably be at that stage if I were him. How about that for an admission? I'm not ashamed to declare this weakness in me. Where do we all want to go with this thread? If I strained my memory I might recall it started with a simple request for a fixer for a roof issue followed by recommendations. Suddenly it's turned into a public stoning of this week's absent victim. You're a Mod. I got a great idea Mr Mod. What about moderating this thread and deleting it? How does that sound to you? 🙄
 
Look we are never going to agree on this.

Bottom line is people can make their own mind up, but if they are only ever given positive views, which are not the full picture then we are not doing our job, and this community will suffer.

DLV has always been a divisive subject, and like others I am not going to sit here and watch smoke being blown up his arse when there are as always two sides.

He has been given plenty of chance to respond and hasn’t, therefore it’s only fair to make folk aware.
 
There’s a saying I go by....

Never had a problem with DLV, he supplied me with a flip key 6 moths ago and shortly after it stopped working. I mailed him, and due to work and some busy times on my behalf, I couldn’t get round to see him for 6 months to sort it out.

Went to see him 2 weeks ago, he gave me a new updated flip key, a new badge and recoded some spares that I had that never worked. No charge for any of them. :thumbsup:

I’m also a business owner, have been for 20 odd years, and I certainly know that you can’t please 100% of the people, 100% of the time.

If he has short changed any of you, I’m sad on his behalf that he hasn’t sorted it out, as it can (and does) leave a bitter taste.

No complaints from me, though. :thumbsup:
