Anyone in south Manchester good with roof motors?

 South Manchester
Mine has packed up - suspect it's soaked - would like to try to access it from the boot to dry it out/WD40 it.

Anyone willing to show me how in return for beer/wine please?
 
It's a possibility that if you remove that stupid bucket it sits in it might burst into life after drying out

Well I've had no issues at all. Very reasonable labour rate, always gives good advice, does what he says he will, knows what he's doing, and if he's stumped with a problem will work it out and charge for the job not the time taken to figure it out.
Personally, I'm very happy to take my cars there, and to recommend him when appropriate - from my own personal experiences. For whatever the issues, I know not everyone shares this impression. But having read other threads, it does seem that there are some forum members who are happy to join in the critical bashing without having had a direct "bad experience" themselves. Plenty of people have benefited from his advice and/or work and his absence from the forum only diminishes its value, in my opinion. To keep rehashing the same comments does nothing for the credibility of the forum to the wider audience. Save that for Jeremy Kyle

Ah thanks. Shame as he did some work on mine that I was happy with, didn't know he had this side to him. I won't be going back!
 
If it's roof motor issues or relocations, I'm happy to do them but appreciate I'm a lot further South (in Bristol).

I've had minimal dealings with DLV myself but I don't understand the rationale of taking money/deposits and then failing to communicate with people or dropping off the radar which I beleive has been the issue allegedly.

Surely you just make contact, explain the situation and offer to return the money.
 
I think if your in the North it makes sense to use DLV for roof relocations just for location alone. If your in the Midlands or South (Hampshire) then I usually cover that and Number5 for South South (Bristol -down).

Yes , More South West & South Wales for me, leaving everything below and East of Wiltshire to Bowser , not forgetting Durham Dave in Cumbria, but just pick who's nearest and most convenient. - We'll have to issue a map !
 
If it was me I'd've taken up Number 5's offer and gone the extra distance
 
For those of you that are happy with him ... keep going back!! I’m only giving people heads up who are unaware of at least 2 people that have lost money going this route and others who say he’s work is not that great.... if anyone thinks it still ok to promote a business on here that is costing forum members money- you must be mad , keep going back... until it’s you he fleeces.... then hit the panic button and start crying about it .... good luck with that👍

not defending the situation at all as I don’t know both sides that’s for the both party’s to sort out between them but on another note have we all not been ripped off or unfairly treated by BMW but guess what people still use them as it’s a personal choice I am sure all parties involved can sort it out themselves and don’t need other people jumping in with there two pennies worth they are all Adults.and before people jump in saying I am mikes friends yes I am but I have nothing to do with his business as it’s his business I have had no problems with mikes work and know lots of people who are happy with his work hopefully all will be sorted and we can all get on with enjoying our zeds and not sniping other members :)
