Anyone else worried about Lewis?

Hamiltons fault totally..

Tried to push where there no opportunity or space... Then took his team mate off.

Div..

Totally that knobends Rosbergs fault again.

That cnuts worse than Schumacher at taking people out.

Hamilton should chin the cnut at the start of Monaco :D

I'm about to watch the highlights - again! Surely we should be revelling in the new star's glory?! Verstappen is a sure fire champ, no? Maybe when he gets used to the car...(stolen from FB, soz)

Was actually better than the Moto GP for once. The Yamahas winning is getting a bit boring. May be the Mercs should take each other out every race. Think I spotted proud tear in old dady V's eye too. Going to be a fun season at red bull, two very good drivers there.

If I was a betting man, I'd stick some dollar on redbull second place this year
And first place next year...

What's the odds on V.Max placing top 3?

Btw, all the discussion on wrong engine modes etc, but did Nico start the race on diff engine mode from Lewis? Or do they change after starting - And nico mischanged ?

Hmm, not conclusive, but did Nico start on a less aggressive map to get a better getaway - or was simply a mistake ?

Only he or his mechanics can answer that one. But the video in that link would suggest to me a mistake :poke: :D

Nah, he drove a clever race and at least there was some actual racing up front for once

According to the Tosserg fans, Lewis was gifted the win by Nico, despite Nico causing Lewis to lose 12 seconds, possibly more, in the first stint.

Mercedes were lucky to win and should've made the swap call much sooner. You could see from the first racing lap that Lewis was being held up massively.

Good race. Shame Daniel didn't win. He deserved it, but there you go, he came second. So well done Lewis the season starts here. Assume Rossberg was driving for the long game or just can't drive in the wet. Either way poor race by him. Nice one Fernando getting a Mclaren into 5th. and nice one Force India beating the Fezzas.

I remain a fan of Lewis. I am not a huge fan of F1, but the online report made watching the highlights of this race compelling.

Max is going to be big one day. I wonder what the bookies have on him?

Lewis had a lucky break with RB's terrible pit work and then he was not going to let DR through and let him know. Its about history and occasion at Monaco rather than racing. Another track at DR may well have got by.

First time I have not seen the aussie with a big grin on his face and good on him for speaking up after the race, it's what the fans really want to hear rather than corporate drivel.

Actually, I thought DR came across as a bit of a petulant sore loser, it's not like the team didn't lose out too by their cluster f**k of a pit stop, a bit rich to moan about a team that has worked incredibly hard to provide him with a genuine race winning car & also a bit rude to the Monaco dignitaries who lay on this amazing event to have a face-on in front of the hosts & worlds media, his day will come very soon.

A petulant sore loser, you're delusional, how would you feel to be defeated by the mistakes of your own team two races in a row. To be honest there would be something wrong with the guy if he kept quiet.

Good race by Lewis, did everything that could be expected with a team still hungry for victory.

As for Mad Max, I don't say the boy is without talent, but too much to soon. Monaco is a circuit of precision, skill and experience, and I would have to question the ability of anyone who puts their car into the barrier three times over a race weekend. I keep hearing "I crashed, sorry guys" :headbang:

On the other hand Carlos Sainz seems just to be getting on with the job.

Oh and well done to Perez, spanking his team mate this year

my PVR decided to crash while we were out for the day and I missed it .........and I cant find a repeat on telly

I agree with most of what you said, delusional - a bit harsh :o , LH has been constantly let down with reliability issues & I don't recall him complaining in the public arena, don't get me wrong I'm a DR fan & he really has the talent, showing SV a clean pair of heels a couple of seasons ago but I still think he should have graciously accepted 2nd place & kept his thoughts off the radio & rostrum & saved it for the RBR debrief, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one

The team knew they'd messed up in Monaco, in any case, we'll never know if the botched pit stop actually cost him the race win - it probably did, e.g. if he'd come out in front he may have been forced into an error by a fast charging Lewis, Barca was just a split second strategy call that could have so easily gone the other way....

Good race and showed the difference of LH as a great driver, rather than NR a good driver that can just set fast metronomic laps in clear air.

Should be interesting couple of races now so long as LH keeps a working car....
