Anyone else worried about Lewis?

Just been reading this BBC article and whilst there have been lots of rumours regarding his sexuality (each to his own I guess), I find all the dressing up, all the earings etc etc too much for me to give him much respect.
Used to be a big fan - now not.

You don't like him now because he might be gay?

That's how I've taken that to read too.

Or is it that ekimj10 is thinking he's 'attention seeking' and for that has lost respect for him? If it's the latter, it's not come across very well.

No nothing to do with that, probably the excessive bling etc, more like a drug baron or rap star than a world class sportsman.

As long as he's killing it on the track that defines him as a professional sportsman.

For his off track exploits, tattoos, music , Taste in girls or whatever, that's his own personality, lesser importance.

I like what he is as both sports and personality - not sure about his tats though.
The problem is that he's trying to be more accessible by opening up on his bbc column, however, double edged as people are going to take offense at it aswell.
Either way I like that he's doing his own thing in his own skin.

Don't realy give a s**t if he's gay or not he's certainly humping all the other F1 drivers at the minute ! - I dislike the way he behaves like a spoilt kid sulking when things don't go his way - that said you can't fault his speed and race craft he realy is awesome and easily 2015 champ

Its just his style, whether you like it or not. I'm not the greatest fan but admire his talent, a little like Schumacer who I never warmed too. I was more your James Hunt fan :)

Tim.

I love Lewis. And in case he is gay, I love flying in expensive jets as well ;)

It matters not a jot to me what someone looks like or how they dress. As long as they get the job done, thats good enough for me.

Thought he was exceptional as a kid and remains exceptional as a young man.

Yep agree with above. Don't forget hes a young man and will dress/look like his influences/idols as we probably did when we were younger. And yes I know some of you are still young lol I'm just saying from my point of view

+1 spot on - says it all :D :D

A very strange thread. Sounds a little like envy to me.

Who cares what he wears? It's his body and style. I'm sure you're no Dolce nor a Gabbana, so why not quite whining about his dress sense and appreciate him for being the best at what he does?

Several years ago you could have written an identically worded post about David Beckham....

I think that Lewis is not in a great place within himself. He should be the happiest guy in the world - doing what he wants to do, on the verge of another world championship and earning shed loads. He just seems a bit lost.

I really don't like him, always feel he has a massive chip on his shoulder.

I'm not a fan of his style or lack of it. But I don't suppose he's going to be to worried about that. Too busy winning the F1 championship for a third Time.

I have always thought he is like a little boy with too much money and no sense.
Spends it all on things to try and make him look cool but fails miserably.
Maybe I am just jealous though :(

The guy has amazing talent behind a steering wheel of a formula one car and he's British, isn't that the most important point? What happens off the track is kind of irrelevant to me
Anyone thar displays such immense skill and confidence behind a wheel gets my respect

Plus one

Am I worried about Lewis Hamilton? hmm let me think...

He is on pole for tomorrows' Italian GP
He has a 21 point lead over Rosberg
He is a 2 times F1 WC, soon to be 3 time champion
He is rolling in £, reportedly getting paid over £32 million a year, with that a private that cost over £10 million and a fleet of super|hyper cars
He has the £ to do what he wants, where he wants, with whom he chooses, in his personal time...

No, I am not worried for the guy, just jealous :)
