My interior is the same if thats any help :)

One of the original Z4 press cars was blue with the Ivory extended leather. A very pretty combination!

But I've yet to see the exclusive ivory leather in an N54 engined crimson car with a stick.

Are you going to tune your N54? Here in the USA the motor is often compared to the Supra Motor and original GTR Motor.....all straight six twin turbo motors that can make huge HP. That's what makes the Z4 such a killer sleeper! A manual gearbox and for under $2k investment you can get around 500 hp

Crimson red is a different colour to melbourne red and imola red.
Lots of cars have a manual 6 speed gearbox with twin turbo, the model of car usually is the 35i, which yours must be, but this can be had with an auto gearbox too.
The top of the range 35is however is auto only.
Your car will be one of a kind though with a few expensive options, shame its not got the smokers package with the cover over the tray at the front of the centre console.

I don't smoke so I guess no great loss there. What does it look like?

I am not sure about lots of manual gearbox N54 motor Z4s. It would be great to know how many there are as these motors reliably and cheaply can make 450 plus horsepower.

On Cars.com, the largest car for sale database in the USA, there are 467 E9 Z4 for sale. Of which 34 are either melbourne or crimson red.

Of these 11 have the N54 / twin turbo six motor (Sdrive35i or Sdrive35is)

Of these 2 have a six speed manual gearbox.

Neither has an ivory interior.

On Mobile.de there are 654 E89 Z4. 13 of them are red. Zero are N54 motors (and zero have Ivory leather interior).

Mine is crimson red and I have the same interior I did have 296 alloys as well. Mine is only a 23i though and does not have nav etc. I think you could spec all sorts of combinations on the e89.

Great looking car though OP ! Looks in great condition.

Can you post a pic of your full dash? From what I've read the Exclusive Ivory Leather was not offered in that motor configuration. You too may have an oddball car. Is your car a stick?

Its basically a cover that you press down and it opens revealing what would be a small ash tray and a lighter.
Would be good if you could get a mixture of both, the tray you have with the lid the smokers package gets.

Mine has the exact same interior, with the smokers package and M-sport trim. I think it's a really nice interior finish with the alcantara patches.

Busterboo you really think I don't know the color of my own car? Pretty easy to tell the difference between red and a metallic red/orange....aside from the fact BMW provided me with my car's build sheet that clearly shows A61 Crimson red.

Be fair. I said "looks like" and, in your photos, it does. :)

You might have the "only" one ever specced like that,it certainly looks nice. I would think there are quite a lot of "one off" E89's about as spec and options are so plentiful, getting 2 the same is rare anyway.

Yep, Valor1, you've got a well-spec'd car. Nice colour, too.

I hope you enjoy it a lot.

Thank you for posting the photo of the ashtray. I've never seen that before. Probably super rare here in the States.

Just found it on Ebay. Cheap! $100. Nice additional storage cubby. But I'm guessing it won't have the black wood finish my car has.

Looking at that link you would only get one part of the lid. The lid comes in 2 parts as you can see in the diagram. Part no.3 is the top of the lid that clips onto the other part. Part no.3 would be the black wood part.

Hello,

Nice car.

I never heard or saw that BMW did offer an individual painting for the E89, that's also what they told us when we visited the factory in Regensburg where they build the E89.

So it seems to be realy a one and only.

Isn't the interiour the the Design Pure White set up? That was available as far as i can remember from 2009 till 2011.

Did you ask BMW in UK for further infos or directly to the customer service in Munich?

Hello Thorsten

Thank you.

Yes, I did email them. They forwarded the email to [email protected] but then I never heard back from anyone :(

Thorsten, this is the response I got from BMW:

"We appreciate your interest in acquiring sales and production information. Unfortunately, however, our policy does not permit us to release this data. We hope you stay in touch with us via our websites, www.bmwusa.com and www.bmwusanews.com, for the latest BMW news and product information."

To which I responded: "I would think BMW would want to be seen as supportive of its products and its customers enthusiasm. Otherwise people, including myself, will buy from another brand. If BMW is not loyal to its customers its customers should not be loyal to BMW."

Hello,

I'm realy wondering about this answer from BMW as it is not the behavior we know.

One of our other members of the german forum just asked about the amount of 35i DKG in Valencia Orange with pure Traction and got the info, that they are in total 100 but just delivered to Some minor countries.

That seems like an easier question than finding out the exact spec of an individual car and wanting to know if there are others the same.
