Any Z4 owning motorbike riders out there?? What's your ride?

Have added a Maud and Mavis shot ! My old next door neighbour and I completely independently and without knowledge of what each other was doing bought the same bike ( bar colour scheme ) within a week of each other. We had both discussed how we liked them for a few years but the timing was a bit spooky.
Photo taken last autumn on Swanage sea front when we were allowed out !

R1200RS SE all the whistles and bells plus a load of bits added by the previous owners.
Bought the bike a year ago with 2500 miles at 4 years old, first owner did 91 miles in 3 years.
I have added another 1000 since ownership, hopefully a lot more to be added in 2021.

Really like these, particularly in this colour. It’s on my current shortlist once ready to move on from my current bike, a Super Tenere.

I moved from a K1300 GT to this bike due to hip surgery, the GT was a bit too heavy causing me problems. The 1200 RS is a surprising bike, although not as powerful as the GT I reckon on most A and B roads in the UK the travel time between points will be about the same. The RS is much more relaxed to ride quickly than the GT. The only downside I can see at the moment is luggage space, it took my partner a long time to understand “ travelling light “ . The RS has a lot less space than the GT so she is going to have to take travelling light to a whole new level - wear one / spare one here we come !!!!! 2 weeks on the continent ( when we can ) is going to be challenging.

Well, it's not a motorbike, it's Vespa, I am a Vespa rider for decades now, starting with old 1983 PX200, and just changed them like socks. Now I have a 2003. Vespa GranTourismo 200ccm, and love it! It is my daily commuter during spring, summer and autumn, and also for road trips with my girlfriends.

I really respect your serious bikes, impressive!

MV F4, my dream bike...

May I ask what's your ownership experience been like in terms of reliability/costs?

Hi Fastchap. I’ve had the MV 16 years. It only has 12000 miles on it, so it has been a fair weather toy. It has been really good, ( fingers crossed,...) . I’ve not really cherished it as much as I should. It’s been sort of serviced regularly. That is using my gut feeling... I’ve not had it serviced yearly, just when I felt it needed new oil. Having said that , it is now at an independent mechanic having a major refresh as I have not ridden it all over the last 3 years due to some major house renovations. Oh and a Speed Triple came into the garage as well.... The biggest problem with MV ownership is finding a dealer for spares etc. I used to use Forza Italia at Silverstone and they were fantastic but they’ve been closed for 5 years . Hence I’ve had to go down the independent route now. But I am going to keep it. It is an amazing piece of kit and just lovely to have satin the garage for a fine Sunday blast.

If it still has the full fairing I would imagine it could make a small fortune. Probably upwards of £15k

I think you could easily double that estimate if the fairing is complete, seeing as original SP1's are fetching £20k plus 👀

Yes it’s all complete, the fairing doesn’t have a scratch on it and the bike has only covered just over 2k miles.

Anyone know what a mint low mileage CB1100R would go for?
Please put the fairing and indicators back on then put some more pics on here.
The CB1100R poster took centre place on my bedroom wall when I was 15. It is gorgeous
