Hi All,

Just posting to say hello, picked up my first Z4 yesterday and and am still smiling :D

Only question so far is....

With the windows closed and the roof down, the car is unlocked, insert the key and lock, then lock again and hold, the windows drop, the roof closes, but only the passenger side window returns to the fully closed position. Is this normal ? The cars has been in transport mode so it may need a window reset ?

Anything else you would advise ? I'm reading as much as I can, so I'll get there but any short-cuts gratefully received.

Thanks in advance,

Gareth

Thanks for the speedy replies, I'll give it a try in the morning :)

I'll watch out for a blue M Coupe too :driving:

Was just thinking - i dont get it, its not an Alpina? Then the penny dropped

Welcome mate :)

Yep, he's refering to the color, it's Alpine white. Only the wheels are 18'' Alpina Classics, they look nice on the Z IMO. (almost as nice as my 19'' Alpina Dynamics :D )

It's got a black roof, as for mods, well its already got a few, Alpina Rims, Alpina 'style' exhaust ( custom fabricated out of SS - I should probably post a pic ), Alpina Stering Wheel, ( you get the hint by now :D ), debadged wings. Possibly an induction kit, but to be honest the exhaust sounds awsome anyway, and if fitted badly induction kits often reduce power due to drawing in hot air, so the only thing im kinda thinking of is the stubby ariel, ( but i dont wat to start a fight on that one :-) ). Folding mirrors apeal, but finding a pair in white is going to be like looking for hens teeth :tumbleweed:

Also debating soft top covers, but it seems like a hassel with an automatic roof to have to manually attach and remove them each time ( they cover the frame when the roof is down ).

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :)

Welcome  car looks great and has a nice retro look on those wheels

Re the soft to covers i really like the look but cannot be bothered with keep taking them on and off

I've been using them for a few years (with automatic roof) and it's only a 10 seconds job for both sides. The lines of the car look much cleaner around the roof with them on IMO.
