Airbag B pillemodule 65.77 6945157

No I haven't. I'm running Windows 7 32bit, could this be the issue. Would it be better to run windows XP?
 
Nothing to do with os you just need to download the spdaten files

When you select the module number the program goes looking for the spdaten files to load the software
 
Thanks, had a quick look for spdaten files, they can be downloaded separately or bought. I'll have a look this weekend

Managed to import the daten files. I've now got a list up when choosing ZUSB.
The sbl264 only has 2 options, 6962877 and 6974366.

The part number ending in 8087 is under Sbsl85, should I choose this one?

Try 8087. Even if it’s correct it sometimes doesn’t work so then go the sbl264 route
 
I speak reasonable English, know a few words of French and Spanish but honestly cannot work out what language is being spoken on this thread.

I've got soo far up to the point of using Tools32, everything works so far. My B pillar module is part number 6974366, I have tried to go through the last stages in tools32, but keep getting an error...
error ecu conditions not correct or request sequence error.

In WinKfp, I've tried both sbl264 6974366 and searching for sbsl85 8087.
In nsc expert everything seems fine, then i clear all the codes which extinguishes the airbag light.

After the error, I switch off the ignition , then back on, the airbag light is lit again.

The fault i am getting in inpa is Error registration 1 with the new b pillar module.

It seems I am soo close but cannot understand why I'm getting this error
 
Today's update. Using tools32, I no longer get the ECU error message, I'm now getting error_argument when using system zeit_starten. I have tried both arguments 1 and 0 after inputting 1 on system zeit_lesen.
I am using D_sbsl2 mobule

Any ideas please?

Not quite sure what you mean by D_sbsl2 module?
Should be using SBSL85.
Then leave the '1' in the argument box when you double click 'starten'.
Are you actually using the correct set of work instructions? They make no mention of D_sbsl2? Quite clearly state SBSL85.

Sorry, I didn't explain properly. d_sbsl2 is the name of the module in INPA information. I have been using sbsl85 to program. I noticed the CBD name of the ECU is sbsl_E60, is this an issue?

I've been playing around with ISTA+, managed to sync the time on both b pillar modules, ISTA allows to sync both modules at the same time. I'm still getting the same fault code 9886, coding / firing circuit. The b pillar module is registered to the car's VIN.
Any more advice please on what to try next?
There is a company called Crash data that can clone the old module to the replacement. The modules have different part numbers, is this worth a try?
At least I'm learning different software's, next I'm going to try and get ISTA/P, for the programming side.

I’m still saying the module you bought is faulty

These units can’t be cloned once they are shagged. Despite what companies say in the advertising pitch… they can’t be repaired or cloned
 
Honestly? You lost me when you decided to deviate away from the established process. I am not sure now whether the module was originally faulty or whether you have killed it. With a known good module I can have it swapped into the car and fully coded in 20 minutes.
When you started to tinker around with other programmes I completely lost track of what was being done.
So, I’m sorry, I am no longer able to offer any help with this.
If it were me I would get another module and work through the established work instructions.
I’ve done dozens of these now, for people all over the UK and Ireland but your method has me flummoxed.

I'm not sure either. It's been a learning curve on modules and software.
I'll have a look for another module and try again, now with more understanding how it should work.

I'll have a look at the part numbers @bigwinn posted that are compatible with my module.

Plenty of driver modules, passenger modules rarer, they are obviously more problematic. I found a US seller with a couple of compatible modules. I'm going to ask if they can combine postage and send 2 out.
If I get stuck again, would you be willing to program a module (hence getting 2 of them) if I drive to Norfolk?

I would be very careful getting one from the US. Bear in mind that their SBSL will control the steering wheel airbag but will not have to work with the passenger occupancy sensor. The software setup inside will therefore be different.
 
Good point thanks. I'll carry on looking in the UK.
I've just read another post on this error code and will check the door airbag and try resoldering dry joints / heat gun trick on the module. The connector under the seat looks ok.
