Aero Skirts

Just to be clear, and to prevent me having to keep jumping through threads, this was the offer from Arden that PVR received :

To supply 2 x Aero Skirts in primer £240.00
To supply 2 x Aero Skirts Painted £522.00
Fitting kit for either of the above £40.00

* Carriage dependant on location. All prices include VAT *

I would suggest when posting this information that you make it very clear that the painted skirts are being painted locally and NOT supplied painted from BMW.

The following conditions will apply:

Minimum order quantity is 5 pairs of skirts.
Orders will need to be paid in full in advance.

The offer was only valid until 29th October, and VAT would have been 15% at that time. In the end everyone who got them bought them primed and arranged painting themselves. Not sure anyone bought from Bob. I shall still ask, though not got the readies required myself quite yet...

Guys - when I went through this and looked at group buy it just didn't stack up. Painting and shipping is a poor idea as possible damage and the costs to pack. Add that to not being able to match to existing paint and it just didn't work.

I purchased locally with 10% off retail and sprayed locally for about £150 (beautifully done and matched to existing paint)

If you can get sets in primer at a good price then that's the way I'd go.

Sorry I meant a group buy for turning up to have several cars fitted at the Romford site in Essex..

Okay, I'm going to the stealers this morning so will check on costs of prepped / primed only - quantities of 5 and 10 sets only, incl. delivery in the UK. Might not get the quote today, but then we'd have 2 different options - primed and delivered only, and painted and fitted

That would be my preference too cj. I am guessing the price won't be any better if only because VAT has gone up, but £120 a side +5% or so looks like a good price, and I reckon I can get a good paint job done locally too.

Seems like I was too optimistic, despite giving the dealer a hard push...

Arden in Maidstone will do 5 pairs of these, primed, for £338 per pair including VAT. This is apparently 'just above trade' with a 10% discount. Delivery would be extra, and they wouldn't deliver to another BMW dealer somewhere else in the country for free. Not looking good I'm afraid :(

Soper and Sycamore? (in Peterborough) will do them for £329 in primer. Obviously doesn't include delivery though.

M Style are looking the best, £300  And as I have said they'll paint them for £170 and fit them for another £60.

Thanks for trying - much appreciated!

£530 all in from MStyle is more than I want to pay, so I don't think it's looking good for me...

Let us know what the best deal you can get with them is and pehaps if you agree to have 5 members get theirs done there we could get a group discount? We'd obviously need to rustle up those 5 members before hand though..

As promised for Adelphi2, some images of my car with the darker wheels and aeroskirts. Apologies for the quality of the image, it's from an old phone as I haven't got round to cleaning the car yet.
