I do not understand the obsession with such low miles apart from the bragging rights, cars that are seldom used/serviced often have faults develop. I think with such a mechanical car it should be used for a couple of 1000 miles a year at least.
Also the worst part about paying a premium for a car due to low mileage; feeling guilty when using it! You buy a great drivers car and feel bad about driving it, makes no sense.
Exactly why I bought a high miler which need a bit of tlc on the front end. I don't worry about driving it!
I remember a friend selling his old 993 911 for a modern 997 GTS. Said he felt like he was curating a museum piece and just wanted to enjoy driving.
Both fair points and arguably the right approach but just personally this low miler appeals as I’m a bit of a concours fan and I’d assume this car is almost showroom top and underneath, something which is like a moth to a flame to some people. No bragging rights just the opportunity to have an almost off the production line car that hasn’t been made for 12 years now. I’d PPF it and use it at weekends only but I get totally that’s a crazy idea to some. We’re all different.
BTW I’m not buying it......Cant afford it....
