I didn't like the silver mirrors or grills when I bought mine. Changed to black & wrapped the mirrors & lower bumpers. Think it looks better imo.

In days of old when manufacturers fitted black plastic backed door mirrors and spoilers etc., everyone would get them re-sprayed in body colour. Now body coloured or accented mirrors, spoilers and grills are being painted/wrapped in black! Fashion is a curious thing.
Personally I am not a fan of the matt silver mirror housings on the 35is, I would much prefer them in body colour.

Now I do like this and think the black grills look good but I think as mine is only the 35i it will have colour coded mirrors?
I quite like the silver grills on mine. Think they compliment the Valencia Orange colour better than black grills IMO. However, think I would prefer black grills with other colours. Interestingly, the VO 35is comes with body coloured mirrors as standard and not the silver as on other 35is.

Just spoken to the dealer and asked if the delivery date can be brought forward as now that mine has gone and the sun is shining I am really missing getting out for a drive with the roof down

I just can't warm to the black grills on any BMW but appreciate most do love the black grills more though.Japseroony

Just had the dealer on the phone and apparently my Z4 is at the port ready to go onto the boat bound for England - they say it might (very much a might) be with them by the end of this week so possible delivery early next week

The sales chap is keen on getting the car registered this month (target thing me thinks) and as they could tax ift for a year and a week it makes no difference to me if its an April or May registration so he is refreshing the system every 2 hours to see if they can get it this week 8)

Whoop whoop she arrives at the dealers today and they have a slot for the PDI etc early tomorrow so I pick her up at 1.30
Spend the weekend getting to know her and then off for a full Ceramic Pro treatment next week - pics to follow tomorrow once I get my hands on her :-D
