2016 Scottish runs,Braemar,Etc,SATURDAY 7TH MAY

See my updated on page 1,now on Saturday,7th..1 day run,for reasons stated.

Rich/mefiecosse, you said you couldn't do the Original Saturday, the 14th, I take it/hope u are OK for this one :driving:

Cancel me fae that run, it'll have me ending up at the opposite end of the country on a Saturday night. I'll keep an eye out for something a bit closer to home in the future.

Cheers!!!!

We're probably not going to attend this run either.....I'm trying to find an overnight stop on the west coast for the Sat night.
Doubtful I'd get the Mrs into Perth for 8.30 on a Sat also........and it's less than 10miles away :headbang:
Have a good one and I hope the weather plays fair.

Well I am still coming :? :D

I guess I will come Callender to Perth for the meet up and drop off at Spean on the way to Fort William (where I live) unless we have time for the ring as we talked about last year Craig.

All really good roads I think.

We do try to make these runs so we get a good days driving, combined with toilet breaks, lunch etc...,
They do tend to be all-over Scotland,I have a 1hour,35 mins drive to start point, and similar journey home from finish....but hopefully see u at another :driving:

What, shame on you, Highlander.....you live 10miles from meet point and can't get there for 8/8.30 :poke:

Oh well, maybe next time.....we will try and make it closer to home for you, haha  :poke:
Or leave the Mrs at home, and come have a fun drive/day out with fellow z4 fans :D :driving:

Yeh, I appreciate that but it was posted as Braemar, which is about an hour or so from me but the new route starts further away and continues to head in the opposite direction from where I am. Just not viable for me on this occasion I'm afraid. We're well used to the west coast bias up here, west is best etc etc :D :D  .

As I said, I'll keep an eye out in the future fior a run closer to home which I'll do my best to tag along on. :)

Funnily enough,I was thinking EXACTLY that.....ditch the wife and have a day out driving
It wouldnt be me that would "miss" the 8/8.30 start.....I'll be awake as usual by 6 :headbang: but Mrs Gunn likes a lie-in at the weekend.
I'm not having much luck with a room for the Sat night so I'll see if she fancies staying at home and we'll just go out after the run(assuming she fancies it at all).....might just be me,but I like to spend some time together as we both work longish hours.
I'll get back to you after she gets home.......off out for a few miles on my bike(token gesture at "keep fit")

You cant even pick up some of the route?
Last year for the Skye trip we met at the starting point and tagged along for 60 miles or so before heading home as we had other plans later that night.
Oh, and we might be able to make this one too.

Looks like i'l be up there myself the week before :driving: 12 months since my last Scotland roadtrip
Totally unplanned just booked a 2 night break with mrs w at The Inn on The Tay for the 30th Apr so Sunday after breakfast i will have no choice but drop the roof & head over the old Military road to Braemar  cannot wait :)

Not me but a taster for those who have never been there

You are always welcome to come for part of the run,if u wanted?
This is essentially a re run of a " Braemar boogie blast" that jaxz4/adamski did 2-3years ago, with some adjustments, and earlier in the year.

As for the West cast bias joke, far from it......in the past the meets have had various start points ranging from Perth,Stirling,Ednburgh, Quensferry, Dumfries,The Borders ,etc......hardly local to me or even to those organising it,lol

We try to vary meets as much as possible, and have start and finish points that are not always going the same roads, and that suit different routes :driving:

Cool,hope to see you there.
Didn't think it would be too far for you to drive be back home again after it....though it is nice to get a wee night away....thought you would have got a B N B or something somewhere around LOCH LOMOND area ,as I have deliberately avoided the Early and late Mayday hols.

Let me know anyway,cheers :driving:

Stayed here myself last year , great spot on Lomond & lots of accomodation choice at reasonable money

Thanks guys, the overnight stop was for me & the wife going away....un-connected to the forum run.I'd easily get home from Loch Lomond area but in reality would hang a left at Lochearnhead and head home via Crieff.

Craig will confirm, but maybe BROXDEN services on outskirts of Perth. There's a fuel stop with food,a large Park & Ride car-park,a Travel lodge sharing a car-park with a restaurant and a McDonalds.
