A great adventure to have had. The path down can be beutiful but you would just have been walking through cloud so not so good. The weather on the Ben got better in the evening I noticed with the top clearing but it is always in the lap of the gods.
Certainly is I recon it cleared pretty soon after I started down. I got some mist free photos while still on the summit platue. I had only dropped about 100 m. On the way up you could not see the arete from the cic hut. So the cloud had been a lot lower. Drove to Malaig this evening. Fun road.![]()
That road is good and the fish and chips are tastey at the end but that is all that is in Mallaig really. Some good twists and a good high speed bit at the end![]()
You should drive the road to Newtonmore from Spean. Just a great road. One of my favourites. In Dingwall just now and the weather is great. Nice night for a drive.![]()
Drove out to Skye today even better roads. Been 38 years since I last wondered through the Culins. Easy walking today though. 630 back to Cornwall tomorrow have enjoyed Spean Bridge. Thanks for the tips. Will get some pics up tomorrow night.
