Nope, you will all be bowled over by the awesomeness of the scenery and roads, and I love seeing heathen southerners become Converts to God's One True Nation.

I just don't like the idea that the week of my annual leave it may rain the whole time. Thats what puts me off about Scotland, unpredictable weather so I would miss out on the scenery anyway. I don't go out in rain.

Rubes - of course it can rain sometimes - pissed own on the Braemar run, but only for an hour or two late morning, and the afternoon was glorious. It then it rained all the way through the Sussex meet this year though - still loads of fun, but you take the chance, right ?

I have been on every Scottish forum run bar 2 (maybe 3 :? ) and on everyone my roof has been down for long periods if not all day, I have come home on both the previous 2 Skye runs and last years Applecross Run (epic) with sunburn.
Case rested.

Edit, just remembered you drive a coop, never mind the roof down time, it doesn't concern you

To be fair, when I drove up to the National Meet in Cumbria it was a miserable journey in heavy rain all the way. I had resigned myself to having a lie in the next day and meeting everyone at the bbq in the evening as I didn't want to bother driving in those conditions. Turns out, we had a bright sky the next morning and not a raindrop in sight all weekend. So I guess you do never know. If some of you remember I put some videos up that my friend Laura made on the day. I had to omit a great one of the views because it was sunny and I said "top down now would be nice" never thought I would live that down! ...she said she was going to swap on the next drive with Adamskis mate so she could have the Roadster experience. Ha!

Top doesn't go up until the rain is heavy enough to get in the cabin - needs to be pretty heavy, or you need to be going very slow for that to happen. Drizzle shmizzle :D

 missed out in 2012 and keen not to make that mistake again in 2013 - watching with interest and in standby for organising a North Yorks and/or Dales&NE run if you chaps want to venture south sometime too. :driving:

I will keep all my weekends free - Mrs B has just said that she definitely doesn't do camping though :(

Stuart - M6 somewhere, surely ? Or are you panning a hoon through the borders

M6 or M1 are fine. Either works tbh. I'm with mrs B on the whole camping thing, it's best avoided :)

Yeah, but if you leave it and the vote is no then the English will be insufferable, trust me

I wouldn't have it any other way Bing, if they weren't insufferable then they wouldn't be English.
