I'm up for a long day, even an overnight camp, with perhaps a return journey across the A86 and back through Glencoe, Just a thought.
Long day is fine by me.
Camping will require an extra day off work, so need some warning. The only tent I have says 'Beer Tent' on the side of it with a picture of a foaming mug (not mine :roll: ) so completely understand if you would want me in another camp site
Jury is out as to whether Wee Bing will even be in Scotland or not now, but I'll be there for sure

OK - August 25th - there seems to be an appetite for heading via Braemar - A93 and on to Tomintoul etc. - route to follow by p.m.
This is a tricky area to create a circular route without making it pretty massive - so not sure if many of us are up for a 2 day event - can we have a show of hands/ indication for a preference for one long day or to include an overnight stop / camp / B&B ? from a quick check very late last night I think there might be another event up that way so stopping over might be difficult / expensive - though not checked out camping yet - sure that's a decent option somewhere.
This might be a route - especially if it's a one day trip - where we could do a lollipop shape and return on the A93 again - I think it's a road we all like but many of us don't often get to do, so doing it both ways (ooh err missus) might be fun.
What do we all think ?

Only kidding Jack, sorry but we're already committed to biking that weekend at Fort William DH. I'll be sure to make other meets later in the year though, as long as they don't coincide with mid-November...

I am cementing this in Mrs Bing's head at every available opportunity, Godfather Bing is prepped for his house to be used as a stop-over / hotel between drives, so definitely coming up
Got a long weekend booked off so can do either a long one day, or an overnight. Might have Wee Bing with me as co-pilot, but that has no bearing on duration or format of the trip - he can work a bottle opener so may actually come in quite handy
