2013 Scotland Meets - Planning and Discussion Thread

I think some (we) also wanted to do the Cockbridge to Tomintoul Road (in summer) but that's kinda taking us further north and maybe too much for a day.
 
We're busy w/e of 10th Aug, then some days the following week. So a Trossachs/Tay Forest 1 day run earlier in Aug or late July would get my vote.
 
Would be nice if we could build this around Bings visit up here, appreciate that would not suit everyone but as he kicked this whole discussion off I reckon we should look to try and accomodate him, I did feel sorry for him not making the Applecross meet :rofl:
 
Options then for discussing :

End July (after National meet) Possible 1 day run
25th Aug - 1 day - 'Bing's big day out'
3rd Sept - overnighter 'Cross borders raid'

The July/Aug meets picked from Trossachs & Tay Forest (based around Ally's suggested route earlier in thread), Tayside to Aberdeen run by Mr TapatalkSki or a West Coast run (back to Oban, Lochgilphead, Loch Fyne or similar)

As long as we don't end up doing a Ferris Beuller I am delighted with this - thank you 8)

Happy with whatever route you guys think is best - Crieff / Loch Tay is cool (went to school in Crief) or further north.

OK - if we're doing the 25th August I'd like to go up the Braemar road - Glen Shee the lecht etc. happy to draft a route once ideas are finalised/
 
I'm up for this but wont be able to commit until neater the time. I don't have a rota for work yet and probably won't until the month before.

Just finished a great run back down the A93 today, fabulous road - I love it!

Anyone thinking of using it in the next week or two though should take note that it's got big sections of it recently been resurfaced so pepple dash is quite likely.

Sorry for delay - just not had time for for frolics this last week. I will happily draft a route for this - I see cjeds has already done half. Will catch up on other posts soon.

I think I'm due to draft this route which I will attend to on return from Stelvio etc. What is everyone's appetite if this is a huge one day - heading to Braemar etc - then Cockbridge to Tomimtoul (the Lecht) and back to a central point ? Regardless of where we start - eg Stirling, Perth etc. - it's still going to be an early start and a long day but hey it's summer time.

Thoughts, opinions, objections all welcomed ! :driving:
