Pretty sure Campbeltown has the one if the highest pub counts per capita in Scotland! Albeit that most of them are ones you wouldn't want to go to!Adamski said:I think there is one pub in Campbeltown

Well worth doing if you've not done it before. We did similar a few years ago but with a twist - we included the west-coast islands: Falkirk - Dornoch - Durness - Ullapool - ferry to Lewis - Harris - North Uist - South Uist - ferry to Oban - Falkirk. We didn't bother with John O Groats as I've been told I'd not be missing much! The Outer Hebrides were awesome though, the scenery is great: http://www.flickr.com/photos/a11y_m/sets/72157621827376993/Nosa said:Hmm,
Just mapped out a route from Stirling -Oban -inverness -Ullapool -Durness -John o groats -Wick -Inverness -Tomintoul -Braemar -Blairgowrie -Perth.
750 miles, I might look at doing this as a road trip for me and SWMBO next year and take a week off to do it.

I love the sheep pic - the fecker just wouldn't move out of the way, stood there for at least 30secs with one ear up and one ear down...Nosa said:a11y said:Well worth doing if you've not done it before. Some great shots in there a11y![]()
The luxury hotel room at journeys end was funny, but my fave shot was the sheep in the middle of the road staring you down.
Was it all wild camping or did you do sites as well. Def want to do something like that with SWMBO next year if we don't go abroad, we are toying with the idea and possibility of the Maldives if finances allow, but tbh a week in the Z on a journey like that would get my vote.
Thanks for sharing the pics.
