2003-2004 Seat Question

Are the seats the same for the 2003-2004?

I know, weird question.

I am looking at a pair of Wet Okole Neoprene Seat Covers for the Z.

This is the last purchase for my Z. My daughter got popped for a DUI last night (dumb s**t) so all my money has to go fix this problem...

Mine is 03. My Dad's is 04. Our seats are the same. I know that doesn't exactly answer your question, but it's all I know and I figured it may help a little. 8)

Daughter - that sux. It's gotta be a difficult decision to bail her out, or let her learn the hard way. If you bail her out she may not learn from her mistakes, but if you let her learn the hard way she may resent you for a while - a long while. Women are so difficult. Loving women is even more complicated. Anyway... I feel your frustration, and share in your anguish and disappointment.

My friend just got busted in VA Beach. Lawyer is going to be $1,500. Fines and court cost are going to run the better part of $1,000. Oh yes, don't forget Va's new civil fines, that is going to be another $750, this year and the next two. Going to be at least $5,000.00 plus insurance premium. The bail bondsman said don't go to court in VAB without a lawyer. The sentence will be the same either way, but the lawyer will get some of the penality set aside. The above fines are first offense, non felony DUI. Will cost more if felony or second time, maybe even jail time.

Oh gaawwwd :x , did you :rtfm: :punish: :brucelee: :chophead: ..so sorry to hear that shipkiller...
as far as your seats go, perhaps a quick call to the dealership would be thefastest way to get a solid answer. I think you're gonna be busy for a while... :tumbleweed: But as you know I'm sure, most seat covers will almost never fit perfectly anyway so if they're basically the same, go for it. If you drive your Z everyday, that puts a stress on the leather getting in and out and I would do a seat cover too if that were the case for me.
Good luck ship

Yea, we have a one of the best lawyers now. It was a first offense, non felony DUI. That is her saving grace. She is not on our insurance or does the car belong to me. Its in her name. But because she is in kind of a hole, we have been trying to help her dig herself out of for a while. Now this happens.

The seat question was in regard to a Ebay Item I saw a set of Black Wet Okole Neoprene Seat Covers for the 2004 Z4. Normally this things go for about $250.00. I bid $40.00 not expecting to win.
Well guess what. I did.
$36.00 for a complete set. Black with red piping.... used for one summer. If these things look as good as the pictures, then I got a steal. And they are real, not knock offs...

I really got them so my wife can take the car to the beach. She's been talking about that since we bought it... Of course she will have too wait until next summer...

What year is your Z4? There are 2 kinds of seats for the Z4. The regular sport seats (nothing sporty about them) that don't hold you in place at all during hard cornering; these have the removable head-rests. Then there are the M-sport seats that have extra side bolstering; these don't have removable head-rests. The M-sport seats became available since '04. Last time I talked to Wet Okie last week, they don't have seat covers for the M-sport seats yet, only for the regular sport seats.

for those that slide around on the regular seats, have you tried a seat belt locking clip? That way, you can maintain at least waist tension. This is a clip similar to those used for child seats, but better. I remember seeing someone on z4um used one for track days. I just can't remember the name. I've actually used one from a child seat and it helped a lot.

as far as seat covers go, if you cover the seat and use your seat heaters, will it ruin the leather? Or will covering the leather with a neoprene seat cover ruin it anyway?

I have a 2003 with regular sport seats. Yea, that is one thing I don't like, the seats don't hold you in place.

The Wet Okie have the removable head rests, and so does my Z4.

Arizona just made their laws VERY strick. 10 days in jail and a breathalizer ingnition system in your car for the first offense! Plus they can impound your car for 30 days!

That'd be the CG Lock.

You must be where I got the idea. I typed CG Lock and then I searched and couldn't find it.

how come i have the sport pkg and by the description above i don't have the sport seats, but the m seats. 04 Z4? They have the bolsters and the non removable headrest, its all one piece including the headrest. I believe there is a 3rd type of seat?

There are only two types of seats for the Z4 - sport and M-sport. The M-sport seats are a stand-alone option for the Z4 and not part of the sport package.

you can tell the m sport seat (the expensive one) by the adjustable thigh support for one thing (at least I believe that's what that is).

i have m seats then......wonder what other extra's i have, it was a bmw exec car and i believe i have all the options but the nav (hee hee, typed nag by mistke. I assumed i just had the sport, convenience and premium packages.

The seats are nice for me, and they do hold me in place, but when I allow guys to ride in my car, they complain that it cuts them in the kidney's. I love them BECAUSE i don't slide around. Its my car, and i'm happy.
