just off topic slightly, does anybody still have a bottle jack, can you still buy them?
I still have one, it was my dad's and is about 50 years old, still works 100%! lol
No idea if you can still buy them though.

I bought a low profile one a few months back. Very nice jack for the money and am well impressed, best of all it's available at the sale price.

Link to company at top of this thread http://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=40336

Been thinking of getting a low profile trolly jack for a while now and this one looks just the ticket. Thanks for the recommend Swiftly

Turned up yesterday. Looks an impressive bit of kit.
Now to plan a pre-winter complete wheel, arch and caliper clean :D

A well built piece opf kit for the money isn't it Inkey$, I have been well impressed with it. I know there are quite a few who have taken advantage of the price and bought a unit.

Already cleaned the plastic wheel arche plastic liners, alloys, painted calipers, getting well used

It's a fantastic bit of kit.
Now...who can recommend a good quality but cheap as chips torque wrench? :D

I got mine from Machine Mart, seems to do the job for me.

For the jack, I have teh halfords trolley jack. Removed the trolley jack wheels, and, bingo, gets under the car
Torque wrench - went Halfords when they had a 50% offer on tools....

Ive got a snap on low profile aluminum race jack, its awesome! but cost quite a bit to buy, you can buy sealeys version which looks exactly the same for around £50 less

arrrrg just found mine wont fit either! how am i supposed to get the wheels off now to to clean them? :(

ive got that torque wrench frm machine mart. its ok has a good enough range that i only needed one to build my westfield. the only nut it couldnt do was the hubnut which was more than its max number.

where do you guys put the stands when you take a wheel off as its not obvious which bits are up to it? can you take those rubber bits off?

There is no stock jack from Bmw that comes with the car?Because if there is i can't seem to find it... I see that you all bought aftermarket ones. If there is no OEM from BMW that comes with the Z4 can i use the OEM one from my Opel or i need a specific one?

Regards
