Plate Transfer - Help needed quick..

Guys,

Need your help pretty quick on this one.

I have sold my car today with my private plate on. They are coming to collect the car tonight with the money.
Can I take the V5 to the DVLA tomorrow to put my plate back on retention?

It will obviously not have the new keepers suppliment on as I will have to give this up tonight??

Not to worry.. decided to leave it on the car. It wasn't worth the hassle!

To be honest I believe you would need to remove the plate before you sell, otherwise it gets complicated, as until you get the new V5 you couldnt assign ownership to new owner who has been driving round in the car for 2 weeks picking up speeding tickets in your name etc.

There is no quick way, it took me weeks to get it sorted. Fortunately, the buyer of my previous Z was prepared to wait.
