Brake protection plate 3.0si question

So I’ve taken a punt on a cheap used eBay protection plate for my 3.0si front brakes.
It was sold as genuine bmw but it has no bmw stamp or visible part numbers at all.
Is any one familiar with these and should it be marked up?

If it was cheap don't worry about it and just get it fitted

Fair one!
Just wanting to know I wasn’t mis sold.
It needs a little repairing around the fixing points and I need the other side still.
The usual dilemma now, massively overpriced bmw new one or a ridex etc for a quarter of the price. Hmm.
Sounds like a no brainer but…

Even a cheap one will last at least five or six years. If it was me I’d go for the cheapest I could find. One of my twenty year old originals has been held on by big washers for the past three years and I’m not planning to change it.
